TGIF!!

Hey guys!

Well today finally marks the end of a long but good week!
Ive been fighting a nasty cough and cold and all ive wanted is comfort food especially as I used to always treat myself and have "bad" food on a Friday, but today thats all changed.
Breakfast was my usual porridge with banana (it keeps me full up), lunch was a chicken salad with 4 syns of salad cream and dinner was an onion and pepper omlette with some left over chicken.
I went to my in-laws this evening to discuss which presents we're all buying hubby for Christmas and I had an orange flavoured Club biscuit (6 syns) with my cuppa.
So today ive had 10 syns and still within my limits and heading for a good loss (hopefully) on Monday.

Staying strong!

Hey guys!

Well today has been yet another good day and im feeling strong a positive!
Breakfast was my porridge and banana concoction, lunch was homemade carrot and pepper soup and dinner was a bowl of yummy homemade beef stew with dumplings.
The only naughty was the dumplings, I had 2 and 6.5syns each so ive had 13 syns today which is high but still within my syn limits so its all good.
Im soo looking forward to weigh in on Monday to see if my hardwork has paid off on the scales! Im feeling very focused and have even been turning down the biscuit tin at work with my morning coffee, I havent even felt the need for it!
Now im off to make a salad for tomorrows lunch.

Day 2!

Hey guys!

Today has been another fab day!
I started with a breakfast of porridge and banana made with soya milk, sprinkled with a tiny bit of sweetener.
Lunch was chicken salad with 3 syns worth of salad cream followed by grapes with pomegranate.
Dinner was mixed veg and chickpea dahl which is delicious!
Only 3 syns again for the whole day and im feeling really positive that my first weeks weigh in should be a good result.
My downfall is usually at the weekends but im determined to break that cycle this week!

Feeling Fabulous!

Hey guys!

Well today has been a fabulous first day and ive only had 2 syns (im allowed a maximum of 15 per day).
Breakfast was Fruit and Fibre cereal with Soya milk. Lunch was leftover stew and dinner is chicken with salad followed by pomegranate with grapes. Yummy!!
I only used 2 syns for 2 tbsp of salad cream (low fat) with my salad. So well within my syns limits and I dont even feel hungry!
Its good to finally feel back in control of my eating again and im loving it! Bring on tomorrow!

New beginning!

Hey guys!

Well today marks the beginning of my new journey at Slimming World. I joined my local group tonight and the group are really lovely people.
Ive come away armed with my members pack and the latest SW magazine and im sat planning my meals for the week ahead with plenty of free and superfree foods!
Im soo not impressed with my starting weight, which im not quite ready to share with you just yet, but  putting it behind me and focusing on the new and improved me that will start to appear!
Well thats all for today but I will report on my first day tomorrow! Heres a picture of me at my 18th birthday party, my first target is to get back to that size.

Moving forward

Hey guys!

Well today I have made a decision to move forward and join Slimming World again tomorrow!
I lost nearly 2 and a half stone with them last year and I feel that I now need to go back and have that success again plus more. I love the support of being in a group with people that are in my situation and I actually made friends at my last group that im still in contact with today.
I have tried to do this alone but its nice to have people to relate to so heres til tomorrow! A fresh start!

My sweet obsession!

Hey guys!

I thought I would share with u today my new obsession....sweet potatoes!!
Ive never had them before but ive been experimenting with them over the past few weeks and I LOVE them!
Firstly I part boiled them, sliced them up onto a baking tray, sprayed with Frylight and then put in the oven to crisp up like chips, yummy!
Then I did sweet potato mash and ive also been putting them in the stews ive been doing, it gives it a nice sweeter flavour.
My next experiment tomorrow is to home make sweet potato and carrot soup which im quite looking forward to and I will repirt back!

Week 1 weigh in!

Hey guys!

Well its been a week and i am pleased to report a loss of 2lbs! Yay!!
Im so pleased as this weekend wasnt perfect foodwise. We had a chinese on saturday night but this just shows that everything in moderation is perfectly fine and healthy.
Im going to set myself a target of another 2lb loss this coming week although im going to try and aim for more.
I shall keep putting everything I eat and drink into MFP and keep on doing what im doing.

Losing it!!

Hey guys!

So I was naughty and weighed myself today to see how im doing (I know you shouldnt) and ive lost 2lb already since Tuesday! Im so happy and pleased that im clearly doing the right thing!
Im still just under my calorie on MFP today (only by 20 calories but still under) and im feeling strong and like im finally moving in the right direction.
Ive also noticed that eating earlier has made a difference too. I used to wait until hubby came home at 10pm and eat with him but now that hes working til 2am I eat earlier and I dont feel as bloated when I go to bed as I used to.
Well whatever Im doing is working so Im going to keep with it!

A good day!

Hey guys!

Today has been a really good day!
Im addicted to inputting everything I eat and drink into MyFitnessPal at the moment and today im under my daily calorie allowance so im really pleased, although I'd like to point out im only under by 200 calories so im still within a sensible range.
Im feeling very positive and am looking forward to see what the scales say next week. As its getting really cold and wintery im loving making soups and stews with lots of veg. My fave soup to make is carrot and coriander, yummy!
Im currently sat watching a programme on TV called "Got slim, got fat again". Its about yoyo dieting and its something I really relate to and definitely a cycle im determined to break.

The most wonderful time of the year?!!

Hey guys!

As its fast approaching I thought I would discuss the festive season. Is it just me or is Christmas a time of year that you dread as a dieter?
Walking around the supermarkets and all I can see is all the chocolate goodies (fererro rocher are my fave) and the crisps and nibbles that I love. Even in the comfort of our own homes we're bombarded with endless TV adverts for festive food and alcohol! Dont get me wrong, I know the companies and supermarkets all have to advertise but when its all food you're trying to avoid im finding it hell! So my plan for this year??
Im not buying any if it! If its not in my house I cant eat it! Hubbys not a huge chocolate eater anyway so it wont bother him. We're having Christmas day at my in-laws and boxing day at my stepbrothers house so there really is no need for us to buy it so why put unnecessary temptation in my way?
I will fall off the wagon on Christmas day and boxing day but I have no intention of it lasting longer than those 2 days, thats my plan and im sticking to it!

Well thats my rant over for today guys lol

First Post!

Hey guys!

Welcome to my blog!
As you've probably guessed by the title this blog is to follow my weightloss journey and also my training for my first challenge that ive set myself of completing the Monster Race 2014.
Ive pretty much been overweight my whole life and have constantly battled to lose it. Some times ive managed to lose weight (the most ive lost at one time is 3.5 stone) but then I always slip and gain it back sometimes gaining more than I lost in the first place! But no more, I married my husband on the 21st September 2013 and naturally we want to start a family one day, I want to lose this weight so that I can be the healthiest example of a wife and mother and set an example to my children.
Well thats a little bit about me and I want to share my journey with you.
